See everything running on your machine and control it in plain English.
Sentinel is a desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux. It shows live processes, ports and connections, CPU, memory and disk usage, and lets you act on any of them. Ask its agent to free a port or clear space, and it checks the real state of your system, then lays out each step for you to approve before anything runs.
For macOS 11 or later on Apple Silicon and Intel, Windows 10 and 11, and 64-bit Linux.
PLACEHOLDER — replace with real capture
Main window in the dark theme: Network view with the world map of live connections, and the agent panel docked on the right showing a plan card. Captured at 1440 x 920.
Five live views of the same machine
Each view reads straight from the operating system and updates as things change. The buttons in them run the same actions the agent can propose, so there's one set of rules for both.
Process monitor
Every process with its command line, owner, CPU and memory, as a live table or a parent-and-child tree.
PLACEHOLDER — replace with real capture
Process monitor in tree view, a browser's helper processes expanded, detail drawer open with the 60-second CPU and memory graph.
- Select a process to see its last 60 seconds of CPU and memory, open files and network connections.
- Kill, force kill or change priority. Every action restates the process name and PID before it runs.
- Heavy processes are tinted relative to everything else running, not against a fixed number.
Network and ports
Every listening port and open connection, matched to the process that owns it and placed on a world map.
PLACEHOLDER — replace with real capture
Network view: world map with arcs from your location to remote endpoints, connections grouped by process underneath.
- Connections are grouped by process, with remote hostnames resolved in the background.
- Locations come from a database stored on your computer, so no lookup service sees who you talk to.
- Block a remote address or a local port with a firewall rule, and remove it later from the same list.
CPU and memory
Per-core load, memory and swap as rolling graphs, with the processes responsible listed beside them.
PLACEHOLDER — replace with real capture
CPU and memory view: per-core graphs across the top, stacked memory area chart and top-memory process list below.
- Each core gets its own live graph, with five minutes of history by default.
- Memory is split into used, cached and swap, next to the processes holding the most.
- Temperature and fan speed appear only where the system reports them. Missing sensors are labeled, never shown as zero.
Storage treemap
A zoomable map of your disk that fills in while it scans, with cleanup suggestions you choose from.
PLACEHOLDER — replace with real capture
Storage treemap zoomed into the home folder mid-scan, breadcrumbs above, hover tooltip showing a folder's path, size and item count.
- Click into any folder and back out with breadcrumbs, or switch to file types and the 100 largest files.
- Caches, logs, old downloads and build folders are flagged as suggestions. Nothing is removed automatically.
- Deleting always moves items to the Trash or Recycle Bin, so anything can be put back.
AI agent
Ask in plain English. The agent reads live data, then proposes changes you approve one at a time.
PLACEHOLDER — replace with real capture
Agent panel answering 'kill whatever's using port 5432': read-tool results, then one plan card waiting for approval.
- Works with a local Ollama model, Ollama Cloud, Anthropic, OpenAI or Google Gemini.
- API keys are checked when you add them and kept in your operating system's keychain.
- A badge in the chat shows whether your requests stay on this computer or go to a provider.
The agent proposes. You decide what runs.
The agent can only do what the app's own buttons do, and none of it without you. There is no setting that lets it act on its own.
-
It looks before it suggests
Read-only tools collect live process, network and disk data first. A change proposed without reading your system is refused.
-
Each change becomes a card
A card says what will happen, what it touches and the expected result. You approve, reject or edit each one. Even “just clean everything” produces cards.
-
Only approved cards run
Sentinel re-checks that the process or file is still the same one, then runs it. Deleted files go to the Trash, and every step lands in the activity log.
Free up 10 GB, but don't touch anything I've used in the last two weeks.
I scanned your home folder and checked when each candidate was last opened. These two haven't been used in over a month:

- Move to Trash Waiting for you
~/Projects/prototype/node_modules

Not sure which Mac you have? Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. “Chip: Apple M…” means Apple Silicon, “Processor: Intel” means Intel. Requires macOS 11 or later.
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The .exe installs for your user account; the .msi suits managed or all-users installs.
This looks like a Windows on Arm device. Sentinel ships an x64 build, which Windows 11 runs under emulation.
64-bit x86 only. The AppImage runs on most distributions; the install guide lists the WebKitGTK packages the .deb depends on.
This looks like an Arm device. Sentinel currently ships Linux builds for x86-64 only.
